Commitment to Resident Safety

At Makkah Group of Hostels, we understand that safety is paramount for students and their families. We have implemented comprehensive security measures, including mandatory Punjab Police verification and 24/7 on-site security personnel, to ensure a secure living environment in Lahore.

1. 24/7 Security Personnel

Our hostels are staffed with trained security personnel available around the clock to monitor premises, manage access control, and respond to any security concerns.

  • Access Control: All residents and visitors must register at the front desk. Residents are issued ID cards for entry.
  • Visitor Management: Visitors are only allowed in designated common areas and must leave by 8:00 PM. Overnight guests are strictly prohibited.
  • Patrols: Security staff conduct regular patrols of the premises, including corridors, common areas, and perimeter.

2. CCTV Surveillance System

We have installed a comprehensive CCTV surveillance system to monitor common areas and enhance overall security.

  • Coverage Areas: Cameras are strategically placed at all entrances/exits, hallways, stairwells, common rooms, and parking areas.
  • Privacy Respect: Cameras are NOT installed in private rooms, bathrooms, or other areas where residents have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
  • Footage Retention: Recorded footage is securely stored for 30 days and is only accessed for security investigations or as required by law enforcement.

3. Mandatory Punjab Police Verification

Legal Requirement for All Residents

As mandated by Pakistani law and our commitment to community safety, all residents must complete the Punjab Police verification process before check-in.

This involves submitting your CNIC/NICOP details to the Punjab Police database for background clearance. This process helps ensure that our hostel community remains safe and secure for all residents.

We work closely with local law enforcement to maintain a secure environment and promptly address any security concerns.

4. Fire Safety & Emergency Preparedness

Your safety during emergencies is our top concern. We have implemented comprehensive fire safety measures and emergency protocols.

Fire Safety Equipment

  • Fire extinguishers on every floor
  • Smoke detectors in all common areas
  • Clearly marked emergency exits
  • Fire blankets in kitchen areas

Emergency Procedures

  • Regular fire drills conducted quarterly
  • Emergency evacuation maps in all rooms
  • Designated assembly points
  • 24/7 emergency contact numbers

5. Room Security & Personal Safety

We provide secure accommodations and encourage residents to take personal responsibility for their safety.

  • Room Locks: All rooms are equipped with secure locks. Residents are responsible for locking their doors when leaving.
  • Valuables: We recommend using lockable storage for valuables and not leaving cash or expensive items unattended.
  • Personal Conduct: Residents should avoid sharing room keys or access codes and report any suspicious activity to security immediately.
  • After-Hours Safety: We encourage residents to avoid walking alone late at night and to use reputable transportation services.

6. Health & Medical Emergencies

We have protocols in place to handle medical emergencies and ensure residents receive prompt assistance.

  • First Aid: Basic first aid supplies are available at the front desk, and staff are trained in first aid procedures.
  • Medical Facilities: We maintain relationships with nearby clinics and hospitals for prompt medical attention when needed.
  • Emergency Contacts: Residents must provide emergency contact information during registration, which is kept confidential and only used in emergencies.
